PGE Park to host baseball Civil War on May 26

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers baseball teams will meet once again at PGE Park in Portland in the Civil War Classic presented by RBC Wealth Management on Wednesday, May 26, it was announced today. First pitch between the in-state rivals is slated for 6:30 p.m.

Tickets, starting at $5, go on sale Tuesday at area Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (800) 745-3000. Additionally, tickets to the Civil War will be included at no charge as part of full-season Portland Beavers ticket plans purchased for the 2010 Pacific Coast League season.

Oregon State has a 155-147 lead in the all-time series, which was reinstated in 2009 as the Ducks baseball program returned after a 27-year absence.

Last season, the Ducks and Beavers attracted nearly 30,000 fans over two games played at PGE Park, including a Pac-10 record 15,540 to see Oregon defeat Oregon State 3-2 on March 28. Oregon State countered with an 8-1 victory the next day, with 13,709 in attendance at PGE Park.

Oregon fans will be seated on the first base line, while Oregon State fans will be on the third base line at PGE Park.
